Newton Teachers Credit Union provides:
Savings Account:
A variable rate savings account with a minimum initial deposit of $25.00 is required to open an account with the credit union. This minimum balance must be maintain to avoid a $2.00 monthly service charge. Certificates of Deposit
The minimum balance to open a new certificate is $1,000 for terms of 6 months and 12 months. The interest rate and annual percentage rate (APR) are fixed for the term of the certificate and may only be changed at maturity.
IRA Accounts:
We offer both a variable rate IRA account or IRA certificates with fixed rate for the same terms offered as regular certificates. Personal Loans
We offer a minimum amout of $500 and maximum of $10,000 with terms from 12 month to 36 months. Auto Loans
New auto loans are available for terms from 24 months to 60 months. The maximum amount available for a new auto is $27,500 and 95% of retail value of the vehicle. Used auto loans with terms from 24 months to 48 months. The maximum amount available for a used auto is $20,000 and up to 90% of the retail value. Discounts on Auto Insurance
Members of the credit union are eligable for a discount on their auto insurance through Horace Mann Insurance. Mortgages via affiliates

For you convenience savings deposits and loan payments can be made through payroll deductions taken on the 15th and 30th of each month.
